Job Description
Applications are now open for the 2026 Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Program in Partnership with KPMG and Leadway Assurance, a prestigious undergraduate scholarship initiative designed to support academically outstanding but financially disadvantaged Nigerian students studying in Federal Universities.
The scholarship provides annual financial support throughout the beneficiary’s undergraduate studies, alongside mentorship, internship opportunities, and potential graduate employment opportunities with leading professional services and financial institutions.
The programme is implemented in partnership with KPMG, Leadway Assurance, and Andersen to nurture the next generation of finance, business, and professional services leaders in Nigeria.
About the Scholarship
The Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Program was established to provide deserving students with financial assistance and career development opportunities that enable them to complete their education while preparing for successful professional careers.
In addition to funding, beneficiaries receive mentorship from experienced professionals, internship placements, and an opportunity to be considered for graduate employment with the programme’s partner organizations upon graduation.
Eligible Courses
Applicants must have secured admission into a four-year degree programme in one of the following disciplines:
- Accounting
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Actuarial Science
- Insurance
- Finance
Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Annual financial scholarship throughout the four-year degree programme.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be indigent Nigerian students.
- Have provisional admission into a Federal University in Nigeria.
- Be admitted into one of the eligible four-year degree programmes.
- Have attended a public secondary school or a private secondary school through a scholarship.
- Have scored at least 230 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Have obtained at least five distinctions in WASSCE, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Be a 100-level student at the time of application.
- Not be a current beneficiary of another scholarship programme.
Selection Process
- Applications will be screened based on the stated eligibility criteria.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an aptitude test.
- Final scholarship awards will be made after the completion of the selection process.
