About the Afrinvest Analyst Program (TAAP 26)

The Afrinvest Analyst Program is a comprehensive and immersive training initiative designed to equip young professionals with the practical knowledge, analytical skills, and real-world experience needed to excel in the financial services industry.

Successful candidates will undergo structured rotations across various departments, gaining first-hand exposure to different aspects of Afrinvest’s business operations.

Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, analytical, and self-motivated graduates to join our team as Analysts. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable to change, and passionate about contributing to impactful projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured training programs, workshops, and professional courses to develop both technical and soft skills.
  • Shadow experienced mentors and team leads to understand departmental workflows and best practices.
  • Rotate through multiple business units (Investment Banking, Research, Asset Management, etc.) to gain holistic exposure.
  • Conduct research, market analysis, and data interpretation to support ongoing projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing investment proposals, financial models, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and team events to expand professional knowledge and networks.
  • Compile periodic reports and performance presentations to track learning milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for the Afrinvest Analyst Program (TAAP 26), candidates must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines) from a recognized university.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work across departments and handle diverse assignments.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis or financial modeling tools is an added advantage.
