Agora Policy Writing Fellowship 2026

Job Description

Applications are now open for the Agora Policy Writing Fellowship 2026 — a three-month, non-residential program designed to strengthen participants’ capacity to conceptualize, research, and craft compelling policy papers.

The fellowship will conclude with the submission and presentation of approved writing projects.

This initiative is part of Agora Policy’s Policy Support, Deepening, and Engagement (PSDE) Project, supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

The project aims to promote data-driven and participatory policymaking and governance across Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Be early- to mid-career professionals working in civil society, media, think tanks, or government.
  • Hold at least a first degree in any discipline.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for research, writing, and public policy.

  • A 400-word statement of purpose.
  • A resume or CV.
  • Two policy-related writing samples.
  • A letter of endorsement or reference.
