Job Description
Applications are now open for the Al-Musaafir Foundation Scholarship Program 4.0, a mentorship and scholarship initiative designed to support outstanding Nigerian Muslim graduates who are preparing to pursue postgraduate studies abroad in the 2027 academic cycle.
Now in its fourth edition, the Al-Musaafir Foundation continues its mission of making graduate school opportunities more accessible by providing academic mentorship, financial support, and a thriving community of scholars committed to excellence and giving back.
The programme is specifically designed for aspiring graduate students who have the academic potential to secure admission into top international universities but require guidance and financial assistance throughout the application process.
Successful applicants will receive structured mentorship from experienced scholars, practical guidance on preparing competitive graduate school applications, and an opportunity to receive financial support for key application expenses.
For top-performing participants, the Foundation provides financial assistance of up to ₦400,000, which may be used to cover graduate school application costs such as IELTS or TOEFL examinations, application fees, and other eligible expenses, subject to the scholarship’s terms and conditions.
Beyond financial support, participants become part of a growing community of ambitious scholars dedicated to knowledge, excellence, mentorship, and paying forward the opportunities they receive.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian Muslim.
- Be planning to apply for graduate school admission in 2027.
- Possess a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) degree.
- Have a valid international passport.
- Provide an academic transcript.
- Submit a two-page academic CV.
- Provide one recommendation letter.
- Submit a motivation letter of not more than 250 words.
Applicants should ensure that all required documents are complete and accurate before submitting their applications, as incomplete or inaccurate submissions will not be considered.
The Foundation has also announced an Ask Me Anything (AMA) Session for prospective applicants.
The live session will provide an opportunity to ask questions about the scholarship, eligibility requirements, application process, graduate school preparation, mentorship, and what successful applicants should expect throughout the programme.
