About Us
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), based in Kaduna, is the premier military university and officer cadet training institution in Nigeria. Established on 5 February 1964, the NDA was created to meet the defense needs of independent Nigeria by locally training officers for the Armed Forces of Nigeria (the Army, Navy, and Air Force).
About the Admission
This is to inform the general public that the online application for admission into the 78 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, will be available from Friday, 28 November 2025 to 30 April 2026.
- Eligibility: Admission into NDA is open to both MALE and FEMALE Nigerians.
- Application Portal: Candidates should log on to the official application portal: www.ndaapplications.net.
- Application Fee: The application fee is the sum of N7,000.00 (Seven Thousand Naira) only.
Requirements:
Prospective candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
Academic Qualifications (O’Level)
- Candidates must possess a minimum of Five (5) O’Level Credit passes at the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, or NABTEB) examinations.
- These credits must include English Language and Mathematics, in addition to three (3) other subjects relevant to the intended Degree Programme.
- The required credits must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
JAMB UTME Requirements
- Candidates must have applied to the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) and MUST select the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as their First Choice Institution.
- Candidates are expected to sit for the 2025 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
- Minimum UTME Cut-off Marks:
- 210 for Engineering courses (B.Eng.).
- 180 for Faculties of Arts & Social Sciences, Science, and Military Science & Interdisciplinary Studies (B.Sc./B.A.).
Age, Physical, and Marital Status:
- Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old and NOT more than 21 years old as of August 2026 (the year of entry into the Academy).
- Physical: Must be medically and physically fit and possess a Certificate of Indigeneship from their state or local government area.
- Height: Minimum height of 1.68 meters for male candidates and 1.65 meters for female candidates.
- Status: Must be single (unmarried) without any legal obligation to support a child or other individuals.

- Fill in your details to obtain your payment information.
- Pay for your application via REMITA.
- After successful payment, you will obtain your ORDER ID and REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code.
- Use the obtained codes to complete your application form on the portal.
NOTE: Only payment against RRR Codes generated via the application portal will be accepted.
