Job Description

The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), with support from the European Union (EU), is implementing a 10-week full-time Legislative Internship Program for young Nigerians interested in gaining practical knowledge of legislative processes at the National Assembly.

Internship Overview:

  • Duration: May 2026 – July 2026 (10 weeks)
  • Location: Abuja, FCT
  • Hands-on exposure to legislative practice and procedures
  • Opportunity to learn directly within the National Assembly environment

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen aged 21–35 years
  • Minimum of a first degree from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Must have completed the NYSC Programme
  • Strong English writing and speaking skills
  • Good computer literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Logistics & Support:

  • Stipends provided to cover transportation and lunch within Abuja
  • Interns will cover accommodation and other personal expenses
  • Applicants should be able to reside in Abuja or fund their stay
  • No accommodation or relocation support will be provided

CV Requirements:

Must include:

  • State of origin
  • Date of birth
  • NYSC service details (place of service)
  • Add a Statement of Purpose (max. 300 words) on the last page explaining your interest
  • CV should not exceed 2 pages
  • Statement + CV must be combined into one document (max. 3 pages total)
  • You will also paste your Statement of Purpose into the online form
