- Expected Working Hours: 10 – 20 hours per week
8cast is hiring a Data Analyst in Lagos to help us design, manage, and optimize data workflows across the Zoho ecosystem (Zoho Analytics, Zoho CRM, Zoho Catalyst, and related apps).
You’ll work directly with the CFO and Software Engineer to ensure our healthcare consulting and data company has accurate, connected, and insightful data.
This role is ideal for someone who can work hands-on with Python, SQL, and Excel, while also building modern dashboards and documenting processes for long-term scalability.
Familiarity with AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex) is strongly preferred, as we use these tools to accelerate workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Data Analyst/Data Engineer at 8cast
- Data migration & setup: Support the transfer of Excel-based models and financial reporting into Zoho Analytics as a first project.
- Database management: Create, manage, and update SQL databases and Python scripts to automate workflows.
- Zoho ecosystem integration: Ensure data flows seamlessly between Zoho CRM, Zoho Catalyst, Zoho Analytics, and external sources (via APIs and webhooks).
- Dashboarding & visualization: Design dashboards for finance, healthcare metrics, and operations.
- Workflow optimization: Use AI assistants to streamline data analysis, query writing, and Python scripting.
- AI application development: Assist with creating custom AI and machine learning applications
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO and Full Stack Developer to align analytics with application development.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for all scripts, queries, dashboards, and workflows.
About You
- Strong skills in Python, SQL, and Excel.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (LLMs) and Maching Learning.
- Comfortable designing and querying relational databases.
- Experience with Zoho Analytics or similar BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Familiarity with APIs and webhooks for data integration.
- Experience with AI-powered coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, etc.).
- Capable of translating messy data into clean, structured insights.
- Strong communicator, with excellent attention to detail and documentation habits.
- Team player who can collaborate with both technical and finance leadership.
