Job Description

Digiss Cybersecurity Internship Program 2026 (Certification + Monthly Stipend)

Applications are open for the Digiss Q4 2026 Paid Cybersecurity Internship, a 15-week intensive programme designed to give aspiring cybersecurity professionals practical, real-world experience across key areas of the cybersecurity industry.

The programme combines instructor-led cybersecurity training with supervised work experience.

Unlike programmes built primarily around simulations, Digiss states that interns work as SOC Analysts and shadow Security Engineers on live client projects, providing exposure to real security environments and operations.

About Digiss

Digiss, a trading name of Digital Information Security Solutions, is a cybersecurity company providing services across Security Operations, Security Engineering, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), identity and device management, and cyber defence.

Its cybersecurity internship programme was formalised in January 2024 as part of the company’s commitment to developing cybersecurity talent in Nigeria.

The programme is specifically designed to reduce the difficulty aspiring professionals face when trying to move from cybersecurity training and certifications into practical industry experience.

About the Internship

The Q4 2026 internship runs for 15 weeks and is divided into two major stages:

  • 7 weeks of instructor-led cybersecurity training
  • 8 weeks of supervised practical work experience

During the programme, interns will develop skills across Security Operations Centre (SOC) activities, Security Engineering and Governance, Risk and Compliance.

The programme is intensive and requires participants to attend physically in Lagos.

What You Will Learn

The first seven weeks provide structured training across different cybersecurity domains.

Week 1 – Security Analyst Foundations

Participants will cover:

  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)

Week 4 – SIEM and Vulnerability Management

Week 5 – Identity Management and Penetration Testing

Week 6 – Data Protection and Cloud Visibility

Week 7 – Cloud, AI and DevSecOps

Supervised Work Experience – Weeks 8–15

Following the instructor-led stage, interns will move into eight weeks of supervised practical experience.

This includes:

  • 4 weeks working in a SOC Analyst capacity
  • 2 weeks of Security Engineering experience
  • 2 weeks working on GRC projects
  • Capstone presentation

This practical phase is intended to help participants apply what they have learned in professional cybersecurity environments.
