Federal Government Digital Training Academy 2026 | Free Coursera and Pluralsight Training for Nigerian Youths

The Federal Government of Nigeria has partnered with Coursera and Pluralsight to launch the Digital Training Academy, a fully funded digital skills programme for Nigerian youths.

The programme will provide 36,000 free training licences in its first year, giving beneficiaries access to world-class digital training at no personal cost. It was announced by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, during the Education World Forum in London.

About the Programme

The Digital Training Academy is designed to prepare Nigerian youths for opportunities in the global digital economy by helping them build practical, employer-relevant technology skills.

Participants will receive training in high-demand areas such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Science
  • Cybersecurity
  • Cloud Computing
  • Software Engineering

Successful participants will also earn globally recognised certifications from platforms such as Coursera and Pluralsight.

The programme will be implemented in collaboration with:

  • Coursera
  • Pluralsight
  • National Open University of Nigeria
  • Yaba College of Technology

NOUN will support nationwide accessibility, while YABATECH will provide industry-focused expertise, facilitators, and mentorship support.
