We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Font Creator & Graphic Designer to join our team and help bring our digital product line to life.

In this role, you will be the bridge between typography design and digital product sales—crafting high-quality custom fonts, typography graphics, and managing their presence on our e-commerce platforms.

• Location: Remote (Lagos)
• Salary: 10,000 to 15,000 Naira daily (depending on expertise)

Job Responsibilities of the Font Creator & Graphic Designer at Assist to Hire Limited

• Typography Development: Research, conceptualize, and design unique, high-quality custom fonts (display, script, serif, sans-serif) optimized for digital templates.
• Asset Creation: Create typography-focused digital products, including font files, custom text graphics ($PNG$/$SVG$), editable Canva font pairings, and letterforms for printable assets.
• Design Tools Mastery: Utilize specialized font creation software and standard design tools (such as FontLab, Glyphs, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva) to prepare and complete letterform art.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other designers, marketing, printers, and coworkers to accomplish product release targets.
• Timely Delivery: Manage workloads effectively to deliver completed font families and design projects on time.
• Product Layouts: Create a wide range of typography layouts, product packaging previews, and mockups for product illustrations.
• Quality Control: Review final vector layouts, letter spacing (kerning/tracking), and make suggestions for modification.
• File Optimization: Submit font samples and vector assets in different sizes and formats ($OTF$, $TTF$, $WOFF$, $PNG$) to management.

Job Requirements

• Education & Experience: BSc degree holder (or equivalent practical portfolio) with proven experience in typography, font creation, or type design.
• Canva Proficiency: High proficiency in Canva, specifically in creating editable text templates, typography styling, and multimedia ads using custom fonts.
• Software Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of font editing software (Glyphs, FontLab, RoboFont, or similar) alongside desktop publishing applications like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Technical Vector Skills: Practical knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) or precise vector pathing for clean, production-ready letterforms.
• E-Commerce Management: Hands-on experience in managing e-commerce product listings and showcasing digital typography assets.
• Copywriting Skills: Excellent copywriting skills for writing engaging typography product descriptions and marketing content.
• Work Ethic: Highly organized self-starter with meticulous attention to detail (especially kerning, spacing, and vector points).
• Deadline-Driven: Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict digital product launch deadlines.
