The APMT Nigeria Graduate Trainee Program is a strategic 24-month launchpad designed for ambitious, high-potential graduates to start strong, gain invaluable real-world experience, build critical skill sets, and connect with seasoned industry leaders. Program Structure & Highlights
The 24-month program is an intensive development journey structured to give you a comprehensive understanding of terminal operations and the broader logistics business. Key components include:
- Job Rotations: Experience the diverse functions that keep global trade moving. You will be placed in multiple departments across our operations, providing hands-on exposure to critical business areas such as operations, commercial, finance, HR, and engineering. This rotational experience is key to developing a holistic, end-to-end view of the maritime and logistics sector.
- Mentoring: You will be paired with an experienced leader who will serve as your dedicated mentor throughout the program. This relationship provides a crucial layer of support, guidance, and exposure to senior management thinking, significantly accelerating your personal and professional development.
- Special Projects: You will be entrusted with challenging, real-world business projects that contribute directly to APM Terminals’ strategic goals and operational improvements. These projects are designed to develop your problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Periodic Evaluations: Structured and regular performance evaluations will ensure you are continually developing and meeting the program’s high standards. This robust feedback mechanism helps you track your progress, identify areas for further growth, and celebrate your achievements.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in all assigned job rotations, demonstrating a keen interest in learning new functions and contributing effectively to team objectives.
- Take initiative in understanding departmental processes, operational challenges, and strategic goals, actively seeking to learn and improve.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and mentors on various projects and daily tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Apply theoretical knowledge gained from your degree to practical business challenges, offering fresh perspectives and data-driven solutions.

Eligibility
We are looking for motivated, high-achieving individuals with the ambition to excel in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.
Who is Eligible
Candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Education: Have at least a Second-Class Upper (2:1) Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines or any other relevant field:
- Accounting
- Engineering
- Human Resources
- Law
- Business Administration
- Experience: Possess 1-2 years of verifiable post-NYSC experience.
