Description
- The Human Resources (HR) Intern will play a vital supportive role within our consulting practice, gaining hands-on exposure to diverse human capital solutions and client engagements.
- This position is designed for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual looking to launch a career in HR consulting.
- As an HR Intern, you will work closely with senior consultants to support everyday people operations, data management, and client project execution.
- You will assist in administrative tasks, research, and documentation, ensuring our advisory team has the operational backend required to deliver high-impact interventions.
Core Focus Areas
- Operational Support: Assisting with the daily administration of client projects, documentation, and data entry.
- Research & Insights: Gathering market data, benchmarking information, and legal updates to support consulting frameworks.
- Talent Coordination: Supporting recruitment processes, CV screening, and scheduling for executive search and talent pipelines.
- Database & File Management: Maintaining organized digital records, client files, and internal tracking sheets.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Intern at Elizabeth Maddeux
Project Support & Administration:
- Assist in drafting basic HR documents, including policy templates, employee handbooks, and meeting minutes.
- Support the team during client HR Audits by organizing requested files and checking documentation completeness.
- Coordinate logistics for client workshops, training sessions, and internal team meetings.
Talent Acquisition & Coordination:
- Screen resumes against job descriptions for ongoing recruitment projects.
- Schedule interviews, send confirmation emails to candidates, and maintain the applicant tracking database.
- Assist in organizing and updating competency mapping templates and job descriptions.
Research & Data Entry:
- Conduct preliminary research on industry salary benchmarks, labor law updates, and HR best practices.
- Maintain and update internal HR databases, ensuring accurate records of client project timelines and deliverables.
- Assist in compiling basic data for workforce analytics reports (e.g., tracking turnover or engagement metrics).
Client & Business Support:
- Format professional PowerPoint slide decks, Word reports, and Excel sheets for client presentations.
- Provide administrative support for proposal writing and business development pitches as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field with 0-1 year experience.
- Prior internship experience or participation in HR student bodies (e.g., CIPM student chapter) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong digital literacy and comfort utilizing online collaboration tools.
