ICT Trainers Needed for the Digital Skills Development Programme (Cohort II )

About the Organization

The Women Environmental Programme (WEP) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization committed to promoting gender equality, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development.

This initiative is funded by the European Union and is designed to equip participants with practical digital skills that improve employability, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunities.

Programme Overview

The Digital Skills Development Programme is a 12-week, in-person training programme that will be held in Abuja. WEP is seeking experienced ICT trainers who can deliver high-quality practical training in various digital skill areas while mentoring participants throughout the programme.

Successful trainers will facilitate engaging learning sessions, provide hands-on support, assess participants’ progress, and help learners develop industry-relevant digital competencies.

• Office Suite Essentials
• Graphic Design
• Video Editing
• UI/UX Design
• Web Development using
• WordPress CMS

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and practical digital skills training sessions.
• Develop lesson plans and training materials aligned with programme objectives.
• Facilitate hands-on learning activities and practical demonstrations.
• Mentor and support participants throughout the 12-week programme.
• Assess learners’ progress through assignments, projects, and practical exercises.
• Provide constructive feedback to help participants improve their skills.
• Encourage collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving among participants.
• Maintain attendance records and submit periodic training reports.
• Work closely with programme coordinators to ensure successful programme delivery.
• Uphold professionalism and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the listed training areas.
• Previous experience facilitating ICT, digital skills, or technology training programmes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for learners with varying skill levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and mentoring abilities.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in relevant digital tools, software, and applications related to the chosen training area.
• Passion for youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and capacity building.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Availability to facilitate the full 12-week in-person programme in Abuja.
