Job Description
The Chinese Government is inviting applications from candidates worldwide for the 2026 International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship.
This fully funded scholarship, administered by the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLCE), covers tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, an annual living allowance of ¥30,000, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Scholarship Details
The Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) established this scholarship to meet the growing global demand for Chinese language teachers. It aims to support the development of Chinese language education worldwide and nurture qualified professionals in the field.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a non-Chinese citizen
- Have a clean criminal record and comply with Chinese laws and regulations
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Demonstrate strong academic performance and good conduct
- Show commitment to Chinese language education and related fields
- Be aged 16–35 (up to 45 for in-service teachers as of September 1, 2026)

Scholarship Types
1. One-Year Study Programme (Chinese Language Study)
- Starts: September 2026
- Duration: Up to 11 months
- Requirement: Minimum 210 score in HSK 3
- HSKK score preferred
2. One-Semester Study Programme (Chinese Language Study)
- Starts: September 2026 or March 2027
- Duration: Up to 5 months
- Requirement: Minimum 180 score in HSK 3
- HSKK score required
Note: Applicants who have received a similar scholarship within the past three years are generally not eligible.

- Please log on to search for recommending institutions and host institutions (Central South University); upload application materials online.
- Complete the Application and Wait for the Result. The Admission Notice and visa application form will be sent according to the final admission results.
- Application status will be informed in the CSU China International Student Service System.
Successful applicants will receive an admission notice and visa application documents. Application status can be tracked via the university’s international student system.
