National Universities Commission (NUC) is recruiting for the following Vacant Positions:
Officer Cadre
- Senior Officer (CONTISS 9)
- Trainee/Officer I (CONTISS 8)
- Trainee Officer II (CONTISS 7)
Confidential Secretary Cadre
- Confidential Secretary I (CONTISS 7)
Clerical and Auxiliary Staff Cadre
- Assistant Cameraman (CONTISS 5)
- Data Processing Assistant (CONTISS 5)
- Artisan/Craftsman (Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician, Air-conditioning Mechanic) (CONTISS 4 or CONTISS 3)
- Lift Operator (CONTISS 4 or CONTISS 3)
- Motor Driver/Mechanic (CONTISS 4 or CONTISS 3)
General Requirements:
- Open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from 18 to 50 years.
- Applicants must possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.
- NYSC discharge/exemption certificate, digital skills, and computer literacy are required for applicants for CONTISS 7–9.
Specific Requirements:
Senior Officer (CONTISS 9):
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline OR Master’s degree plus at least 4 years post-qualification cognate experience.
- First degree plus at least 6 years cognate experience may also qualify.
- Additional professional qualifications will be an advantage.
Trainee/Officer I (CONTISS 8):
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline OR first degree plus at least 3 years post-qualification cognate experience.
- Additional professional qualifications will be an advantage.
Trainee Officer II (CONTISS 7):
- First degree in a relevant discipline.
- Additional professional qualifications will be an advantage.
Confidential Secretary I (CONTISS 7):
- Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies plus at least 3 years cognate experience.
Assistant Cameraman (CONTISS 5):
- At least National Diploma in Cinematography or Mass Communication.
- Cognate experience is an advantage.
- Data Processing Assistant (CONTISS 5):
- At least National Diploma in relevant fields.
- Cognate experience is an advantage.
Artisan/Craftsman (CONTISS 4 or 3):
- At least O’ Level Certificate or equivalent, plus Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in relevant area.
- Technical training and cognate experience will be an advantage.
Lift Operator (CONTISS 4 or 3):
- At least First School Leaving Certificate.
- Technical training and cognate experience in operation of lifts will be an advantage.
Motor Driver/Mechanic (CONTISS 4 or 3):
- At least O’ Level Certificate or equivalent, plus Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in Motor Mechanic Work.
- Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s License.
- Cognate experience will be an advantage.
