KATIP Turkish Language Program 2025
KATİP offers public officials, diplomats, academics, and researchers the opportunity to deeply immerse themselves in the Turkish language and culture.
The program aims to strengthen ties between Türkiye and participants’ countries while providing them with a chance to gain a deeper understanding of Turkish culture and society.
Additionally, KATİP participants have the opportunity to engage in enriching experiences such as seminars led by renowned professors, cultural excursions to various regions of Türkiye, workshops exploring Turkish arts, traditional sports activities, and institutional visits.
Promoting sustainable cooperation between Türkiye and other countries and supporting cultural exchange, KATİP offers participants a unique experience.
Objectives
- The KATİP program offers a Turkish Language Course to diplomats, officials, and academics, an immersive experience in Turkish language and culture.
- Participants visit cities such as Istanbul, Konya, and Çanakkale to experience Türkiye’s rich cultural heritage.
- They also go on institutional visits to various ministries, universities, and think tanks to meet with Turkish professionals and officials.

Eligibility Criteria of the KATIP Turkish Language Program 2025
- Nationality & Residence: Must not be a Turkish citizen or a resident of Türkiye at the time of application.
- Public Officials: A minimum of three years of work experience at a relevant institution, with a preference for those holding a Master’s or Ph.D.
- Researchers/Scientists: Must be employed at a university or research center and have completed or be pursuing a doctoral degree. Preference is given to those researching topics related to Türkiye.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in English (speaking and listening).
- Age Limit: Must be under 40 years of age as of January 1, 2025.
The KATIP Training covers:
- Monthly Stipend
- Round-trip Airfare Tickets.
- Accommodation.
- Turkish language education costs.
- Costs of cultural activities and trips during the program
