Kora Sales Academy 2026 – 3-Month Paid Fintech Sales Programme
Kora is inviting applications for its Sales Academy, a three-month paid programme designed to train the next generation of fintech sales professionals in Africa.
The programme combines structured learning with practical sales experience.
Participants will learn about Kora’s products, the payments industry and sales methodologies before progressing to outbound prospecting, discovery calls, live customer accounts, product demonstrations and deal conversion.
No specific degree background is required, and applicants do not need extensive work experience. The programme is open to candidates with 0–3 years of experience who are ready to build a career in fintech sales.
About Kora Sales Academy
The Kora Sales Academy provides a hands-on route into fintech sales. Participants receive training and mentorship while working through real sales activities and customer interactions.
The programme runs for three months on a full-time basis and is structured around three learning phases, taking participants from foundational knowledge through pipeline development and ultimately to converting opportunities into customer deals.

Learning Journey
The three-month programme is divided into three phases.
Phase 1 – Foundation | Weeks 1–3
Participants begin with the fundamentals required to understand Kora’s business and sell its solutions effectively.
Training includes:
- Kora product training
- Payments and fintech market context
- Sales methodologies
- Understanding customer needs
- Building foundational knowledge for business and sales conversations
Phase 2 – Pipeline | Weeks 4–8
Participants move from foundational learning into active sales work.
Activities include:
- Outbound prospecting
- Identifying potential customers
- Conducting discovery calls
- Working with live accounts
- Developing sales opportunities
- Building and managing a pipeline
Phase 3 – Conversion | Weeks 9–12
The final stage focuses on progressing opportunities through the sales process.
Participants will:
- Continue developing their sales pipelines
- Run product demonstrations
- Engage prospective customers
- Work towards closing deals
- Apply their training to real sales situations
- Present at the final programme showcase
Expert mentorship is provided throughout the learning journey.
Eligibility
The programme is open to candidates from different educational and professional backgrounds.
Applicants should:
- Have 0–3 years of work experience.
- Be based in Lagos or able to relocate to Lagos.
- Be available full-time for the entire three-month programme.
- Be interested in building a career in African fintech.
- Have an interest in how businesses operate.
- Be able to communicate ideas clearly.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and perform.
Kora specifically states that applicants can come from any degree or academic background. A STEM qualification is not required.
Previous professional sales experience is also not listed as a requirement.
