Lafarge Africa Plc 18-Month Multi-Skilled Vocational Training Programme 2025 (Technical Skill Development Programme)
About the Programme
Lafarge Africa Plc invites holders of the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) to apply for its 18-month intensive vocational training programme in multi-skilled technical areas.
This programme is designed to impart both theory and strong hands-on experience, equipping trainees to be employable or self-employed in technical vocations critical to the cement and industrial sectors.
Successful trainees will receive:
- Tuition-free lectures
- Rigorous practical / hands-on training
- A token allowance (to offset out-of-pocket expenses)
- A Lafarge internal certificate on completion
Technical Disciplines / Areas of Focus
Trainees will specialize in one of the following tracks:
- Maintenance Processes(Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, Welding & Fabrication Technology)
- Cement Manufacturing Processes(Production, Process Control, and Quality Assurance)
These disciplines are core to Lafarge’s operations and equip trainees with skills relevant across the industry.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following:
- Hold an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognized institution
- Possess minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and at least one additional subject
- These O’Level credits may be obtained in no more than two sittings
- Demonstrate interest and aptitude for technical, mechanical, or process operations
Training Locations
Successful applicants will be placed in one of Lafarge’s operational sites (depending on available capacity and specialization track):
- Ewekoro, Ogun State
- Mfamosing, Cross River State
- Ashaka, Gombe State
