About the LONG Scholars Program
The LONG Empowerment Foundation University Education Scholarship is designed to support brilliant Nigerian students from low-income families who are pursuing Bachelor’s Degree programmes in accredited institutions across the country.
The programme aims to reduce financial barriers and help students focus on academic excellence, leadership development, and community impact.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the LONG Empowerment Foundation Scholars Program, applicants must:
- Be between 16 and 26 years old
- Already have admission or be a continuing university student
- Be studying in an accredited Nigerian institution
- Demonstrate leadership potential and community involvement
- Provide proof of financial need
For Continuing Students
Applicants must have:
- A minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (Second Class Upper or equivalent)
For New Students
Applicants must provide:
- Signed admission and acceptance letter
- WAEC result with at least 5 credits
- JAMB result with a minimum score of 200
Financial Requirement
Applicants must:
- Come from a low-income family
- Have a household income below ₦3,000,000 annually
- Provide evidence of financial need such as:
- Parent’s bank statements
- Recommendation from school bursar

- Up to ₦350,000 per academic year
