Job Description

Model OIC Nigeria is inviting applications from qualified, passionate, and impact-driven young individuals to join its Interim National Operations Team (2026). This unique opportunity is designed for emerging leaders who are eager to contribute to the rebuilding, coordination, expansion, and long-term institutional growth of the organization across campuses nationwide.

More than a conventional volunteer position, this initiative serves as a platform for developing leadership, diplomacy, public service, organizational management, and national impact. Individuals who are committed to excellence, innovation, teamwork, and youth development are encouraged to apply and play a vital role in shaping the future of youth engagement in Nigeria.

About the Programme

The Model OIC Programme is an initiative of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, established under the Joint Youth Action Plan adopted during the 3rd Session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers held in Istanbul in October 2016.

The programme was subsequently endorsed during the 43rd Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Council of Foreign Ministers in Tashkent.

Operating within this international framework, Model OIC Nigeria seeks to promote youth leadership, diplomacy, policy engagement, and strategic dialogue among young people across Nigerian tertiary institutions and beyond.

Responsibilities of the Interim National Operations Team

Successful applicants will support the organization’s restructuring and expansion efforts by contributing to:

  • Strengthening campus engagement and communication channels
  • Expanding Model OIC Clubs across universities and tertiary institutions
  • Supporting programmes, diplomacy simulations, and strategic initiatives
  • Enhancing organizational visibility and institutional development
  • Building a sustainable, functional, and impactful national structure

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be passionate about leadership and youth development
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and responsiveness
  • Be available for active participation throughout the tenure
  • Have previous leadership experience (an added advantage)

All positions within the Interim National Operations Team are strictly voluntary. The programme is intended for individuals who are motivated by leadership development, service, learning, and long-term impact rather than financial compensation.
