Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited Opens Applications for the 2026 Accelerator Programme – Cohort 3.0

Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 NIGCOMSAT Accelerator Programme – Cohort 3.0, a forward-thinking initiative designed to help startups harness the power of space technology to drive real-world impact and scale their innovations within the global satellite communications ecosystem.

This programme offers a unique opportunity for early-stage startups to take their ideas to new heights, serving as a launchpad for businesses operating in the technology and space-tech sectors.

Participants will embark on a transformative journey that includes expert mentorship, intensive capacity-building workshops, and tailored support for product development.

Beyond technical guidance, startups will benefit from media visibility, investor pitch sessions, and hackathon participation, all aimed at strengthening their market readiness and ecosystem engagement.

According to NIGCOMSAT, “It’s a chance to become investment-ready, refine your live pitch delivery, and showcase your innovation on Demo Day.”

The programme is targeted at early-stage Nigerian startups leveraging space-based technologies. Eligible applicants must be:

  • Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  • In possession of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Led by a committed and experienced team
  • Operating a functional company website
  • Able to demonstrate innovation, scalability, and clear market potential

Additionally, applicants must be 18 years or older and submit a one-minute video pitch showcasing their developed product.

Interested startups will be required to provide the following details during application:

  • Full Name and Email Address
  • Startup Name
  • Problem Statement and Solution Overview
  • Stage of Startup
  • Company Address and Website URL
  • Team Size, Industry/Sector, and Founding Year

Application Timeline:

  • Opens: November 4, 2025
  • Closes: January 10, 2026
