R-DATS Consulting (‘R-DATS’) is a research, evaluation, data collection and statistical services firm.

R-DATS uses advanced and innovative research, evaluation, and statistical methods to gather high-quality data and generate strong evidence for impact and improved policy decisions.

We support both local and international organizations, businesses, government ministries and agencies, and non-profits.

The research, evaluation and data processing activities at R-DATS Consulting are guided by core ethical principles and data privacy standards of our organization, the organization we work for and the country where we are to carry out the assignments.

Available Roles

1.) NYSC Survey Data Analysis Intern (Stata / SPSS User)

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of R-DATS project development, research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
  • This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain extensive hands‐on experience in research, survey execution, and data management.
  • The NYSC Survey Data Analysis Intern will be expected to carry out the following activities:
  • Assist in conducting research activities (e.g., baselines, impact evaluations, mid-term reviews).
  • Assist with drafting data collection tools and data analysis plans.
  • Support data collection, entry, validation, and cleaning activities.
  • Provide support in ensuring that all data quality protocols are strictly followed during data collection and cleaning.
  • Handle data collation, basic analysis, data visualizations, reporting, and dissemination.
  • Work with the R-DATS team to develop reports, collate data, and disseminate success stories and lessons learned.
  • Support day-to-day research planning within the framework of ongoing project implementation plans.
  • Execute any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • B.Sc degree in Demography, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Public Health, or related quantitative fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Stata or SPSS for survey data analysis is required.
  • Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with data visualization/statistical software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MS. Excel).
  • Experience in conducting research, survey data analysis, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of programs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with large secondary datasets (such as MICS, DHS, NARHS) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with a quality-focused mindset and strict attention to detail.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and proactively enlist support when needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).

2.) NYSC Qualitative Research Intern (NVIVO/ATLAS.ti User)

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of R-DATS qualitative research, monitoring, and evaluation activities. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain extensive hands‐on experience in fieldwork, qualitative data management, and thematic analysis.

The NYSC Qualitative Research Intern will be expected to carry out the following activities:

  • Assist in coordinating qualitative field activities (e.g., Focus Group Discussions [FGDs], Key Informant Interviews [KIIs], and In-Depth Interviews [IDIs]).
  • Support the development and pre-testing of qualitative data collection tools, such as interview guides and observation checklists.
  • Supervise or participate in data transcription, translation, and verification to ensure maximum textual accuracy.
  • Code and analyze qualitative data using rigorous frameworks (e.g., thematic, content, or framework analysis methods).
  • Work with the R-DATS team to extract and document success stories, human-interest narratives, and lessons learned from ongoing projects.
  • Assist in ensuring strict compliance with ethical guidelines and informed consent protocols during field research.
  • Execute any other qualitative research duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • A BSc or BA Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, International Development, Public Health, Psychology, Demography, or related social science fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in using qualitative analysis software such as NVIVO or ATLAS.ti is required.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of qualitative methodologies (e.g., thematic coding, content analysis, or grounded theory).
  • Excellent active listening, note-taking, and documentation skills.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to write clear, compelling descriptive narratives.
  • Cultural sensitivity and empathy, with a demonstrated ability to engage comfortably with diverse communities and constituencies.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and proactively seek guidance when managing large volumes of textual data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and PowerPoint for reporting).
  • Familiarity with quantitative research processes or software (Stata, SPSS) is an added advantage.

3.) Finance and Operations Associate

Deadline: 15th June, 2026

Responsibilities

Financial Operations Support:

  • Coordinate with the company Accountant on budget allocations.
  • Oversee project finance management.
  • Manage day-to-day petty cash and office expenditure logs.
  • Process vendor invoices and track operational payment approvals.
  • Assist in gathering documentation for tax and audit compliance.

Office & General Business Operations:

  • Oversee daily office management, utilities, and facility maintenance.
  • Manage procurement of office supplies, equipment, and assets.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, vehicles, and lodging for field teams.
  • Optimize administrative workflows to improve organizational efficiency.

Human Resources Administration:

  • Support recruitment processes by scheduling interviews and sorting CVs.
  • Manage employee records, onboarding schedules, and leave tracking.
  • Facilitate staff welfare initiatives and internal communications.

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and archive vendor, employee and consultant agreements.
  • Track contract milestones, renewal dates, and deliverables.
  • Ensure all organizational contracts comply with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related fields from a reputation institution.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in project finance, office operations and administration.
  • Strong understanding of basic financial processes and contract structures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen, or strategic thinking, consistently aligning team output with corporate strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience in development or research sector is an advantage.
