Job Description

As a Social Media Manager and Content Creator, you will lead the development of impactful social media strategies and create compelling content that connects with our target audience. This role offers the opportunity to shape Paired’s online presence and drive meaningful engagement across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Calendar Management

  • Develop and maintain monthly content calendars for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Ensure content schedules are planned at least two weeks in advance, aligned with product launches, campaigns, and brand storytelling.
  • Create and manage a Pinterest mood board as a collaborative inspiration hub for creators.

Content Creation & Execution

  • Produce, edit, and publish original short-form content at scale (approximately 5 posts per week on Instagram and 10 posts per week on TikTok).
  • Appear on camera when required.
  • Manage incoming user-generated content (UGC), affiliate, and influencer collaboration requests, integrating them into both paid and organic campaigns.

Creator & Partnership Management

  • Manage creator relationships, content collaborations, and paid partnerships across all brands.
  • Identify, assess, and onboard creators aligned with Paired’s brand voice and goals.
  • Negotiate deliverables and compensation, overseeing campaigns from outreach through content delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to track performance, manage usage rights, and identify opportunities for future partnerships.

Trend Research & Innovation

  • Stay ahead of trends by monitoring top TikTok and Instagram strategists and official platform updates.
  • Leverage tools such as New Engen reports and Gumloop for AI-powered trend analysis and automation.
  • Rapidly adapt trending sounds, memes, and formats into on-brand content executions.

Community Engagement

  • Engage with the community daily through comments, DMs, collaborations, and social listening.
  • Respond to audience inquiries, as well as affiliate and creator questions.
  • Build an authentic community presence and generate social proof content.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track performance metrics including growth, engagement, conversions, and share of voice.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Creative Dose (paid ads) and Boardgame Studio (organic) to ensure alignment across channels.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media management for a D2C brand or as a creator managing a personal account.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing independently shot and edited short-form content.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills tailored for social platforms.
  • In-depth understanding of TikTok and Instagram algorithms and growth strategies.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative team player.
  • AI-first mindset, with experience using tools such as Claude (with MCPs), MidJourney, Runway, Higgsfield, and Gumloop.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience covering brand activations and events.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage micro-creators.
  • Understanding of how paid and organic strategies work together in DTC marketing.
