The Associate Fellowship provides a flexible, non-residential affiliation that allows experienced voices to engage with our projects, represent Carboun in regional and international forums, and contribute to shaping informed, evidence-based dialogue on climate and energy policy.
Job Description
The Carboun Institute is seeking Research Associates to support its growing portfolio of analytical and policy-oriented research across multiple thematic areas. This role is designed for an early-career climate and policy professional who brings strong analytical, research, and data visualization skills, and who thrives at the intersection of research, policy development, and regional diplomacy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on climate and energy policy topics.
- Collect, organize, and interpret environmental and energy-related data.
- Support the development of analytical models, datasets, and visualization tools.
- Assist in preparing research reports, policy briefs, and presentations.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in climate change, energy transition, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and contribute to ongoing projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Energy Policy, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks at once.
