Job Description
The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for the design and execution of BUA Foods’ sustainability roadmap. This critical role involves driving initiatives that reduce environmental impact (energy, water, waste), promote social responsibility, ensure ESG and regulatory compliance, and track performance against global standards. The successful candidate will be a pivotal leader in embedding sustainability into the business, fostering innovation, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and report sustainability metrics (GHG emissions, energy, water, waste).
- Support the preparation of ESG and sustainability reports (GRI, CDP, UNGC).
- Research and implement innovative sustainability technologies and best practices.
- Monitor performance against sustainability KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate across functions to embed sustainability in business operations.
- Support and maintain ISO 14001/45001 certifications and audit processes.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, NGOs, and external partners on sustainability matters.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Food Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG analysis and reporting, or environmental management (FMCG/Manufacturing experience preferred).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and data interpretation skills.
- Working knowledge of GRI, CDP, UNGC, and SASB frameworks.
