UNDP Responsible Digital Transformation | Impact Assessments for AI & Data Governance Course 2026

Job Description
Applications are now open for the UNDP Responsible Digital Transformation: Impact Assessments for AI & Data Governance Course 2026, a 4-week online course designed to help public-sector professionals translate responsible AI principles into practical governance approaches.
As governments accelerate digital transformation, the use of AI and data-driven systems in public services continues to expand. While these technologies are transforming service delivery, they also raise important concerns around fairness, transparency, accountability, human rights, and inclusion.
The course equips policymakers and practitioners with practical tools to assess the potential risks and impacts of AI, digital public infrastructure, and data-driven public services.
Building on UNDP’s Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA) methodology, participants will learn how to scope a use case, identify potential risks and impacts, and develop appropriate mitigation and governance recommendations.
By the end of the course, participants will have developed a draft impact assessment and mitigation plan for a real-world digital or AI governance use case relevant to their institutional context.
