Job Description
Westmead Farms & Agro Allied Ltd, a growing agricultural business under the Westmead Group, is recruiting fresh graduates for its Graduate Trainee Programme in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The programme is designed to provide practical, hands-on exposure across agriculture, farm operations, food processing and the wider agribusiness value chain, while helping participants develop the skills needed to build careers in the agricultural sector.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience across different areas of agricultural operations.
- Support farm production and day-to-day operational activities.
- Gain practical exposure to layers, broilers, fishery, dairy and hatchery operations.
- Learn about agricultural processing and greenhouse production.
- Develop a practical understanding of the agricultural value chain and agribusiness operations.
- Work across different departments and business units as required.
- Participate in practical activities and learn from experienced professionals within the organisation.
Requirements
Applicants should:
- Be a recent graduate with 0–1 year of work experience.
- Have a degree or academic background in Animal Production/Science, Veterinary Medicine, Crop Production/Plant Science, Fisheries, Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Extension.
- Demonstrate energy, initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be willing to work across different departments and areas of agricultural operations.
- Have a strong interest in agriculture, agribusiness and the agricultural value chain.
