Job Description

Independent National Electoral Commission invites applications from eligible candidates for ad-hoc staff positions for the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election.

The INECPRES portal is open for registration of qualified applicants for various election roles.
Note: Applicants must reside in Ekiti State (except RATECH applicants).

Available Positions

  • Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)
  • Registration Area Centre (RAC) Manager
  • Presiding Officer (PO)
  • Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)
  • Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)

Eligibility & Requirements

Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)

  • Must be a Public/Civil Servant on Grade Level 10–14
  • Or Registration Area Officers / INEC staff not engaged in other duties (GL 10–14)

Registration Area Centre (RAC) Manager

  • Must be a Head of School or staff (GL 07 and above)
  • Must be from the institution/public building hosting the RAC

Presiding Officer (PO) / Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)

Applicants must meet any of the following:

  • Serving Corps Member
  • Penultimate student of a Federal/State tertiary institution (with IT knowledge)
  • Permanent staff of an MDA with OND qualification or GL 07–10
  • INEC permanent staff on Grade Level 07–08
  • Former Corps Member (not earlier than 2023 – i.e., 2023–2026)

Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)

  • Must have an IT background
  • Must be suitable INEC ICT staff (State or HQ) not engaged in other duties

General Requirements

  • Must not be a member of any political party
  • Must not have shown support for any political party or candidate
  • Must reside in the selected state (except RATECH applicants)
