Akwa Ibom State Government Bursary Program 2026
The Akwa Ibom State Government is excited to announce the launch of the new and improved Student Bursary and Support Grant Portal, a dedicated online platform designed to simplify the application process for students applying for the yearly bursary payment.
This provides a gateway where every student from Akwa Ibom State studying in a public (non-private) tertiary institution in Nigeria can apply for the yearly student bursary.
Qualified students enrolled in several undergraduate courses like Engineering, Medicine, Law, Agriculture, Science, Arts, Social Science, and Education will receive ₦50,000 to support their studies.
Each verified student receives a bursary of ₦50,000 directly to their bank account.
Eligibility Criteria for the Akwa Ibom State Government Bursary Program 2026
- be registered, full-time indigent but intelligent students in Federal or State Universities;
- be at least in their 2nd year of study;
- not be a beneficiary of any other government-sponsored scholarship or bursary scheme
- possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) that matches school records.
