Assistant Utility Operator at Ascentech Services Limited

Location: Ogun

Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Assistant Utility Operator to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of utility equipment that ensures uninterrupted plant operations.
  • The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with utility systems in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain air compressors and pump systems to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Assist in the operation and routine maintenance of chillers and cooling systems.
  • Monitor and support the efficient functioning of Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM).
  • Perform routine inspections of utility equipment and promptly report faults or abnormalities.
  • Operate and maintain centrifugal pumps, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Support Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and utility-related operations as required.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance activities and assist in troubleshooting utility equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of utility operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • B.Tech, B.Sc., OND, HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Proximity to Sagamu and its environs.

Hands-on experience operating and maintaining:

  • Air compressors and pumps.
  • Chillers.
  • Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM).
  • Water Treatment Plant (WTP) systems.
  • Centrifugal pumps.
  • Good troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Strong understanding of utility equipment, safety standards, and plant operations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
