Job Description

Air Peace is Nigeria’s largest privately-owned airline and one of Africa’s leading aviation companies. Since its establishment, the airline has remained committed to providing safe, reliable, and world-class air transportation services across domestic, regional, and international routes.

To support its Engineering Maintenance operations, Air Peace is currently recruiting a Cabin Appearance Controller to oversee aircraft cabin cleaning, grooming, inspection, and appearance management activities across its fleet.

About the Role

The Cabin Appearance Controller will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring all aircraft cabin cleaning and appearance-related activities to ensure Air Peace aircraft consistently meet the airline’s appearance, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will oversee cleaning teams, conduct inspections, ensure proper use of approved cleaning materials, maintain equipment readiness, and ensure aircraft cabins remain presentable and passenger-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aircraft cabin cleaning and appearance activities during assigned shifts.
  • Conduct routine cabin inspections and identify appearance-related defects.
  • Raise and track work orders for corrective actions and closure.
  • Oversee aircraft turnaround cleaning, deep cleaning, and refurbishment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with approved aircraft appearance standards.
  • Supervise both in-house and outsourced cleaning personnel.
  • Monitor the safe use and handling of approved cleaning chemicals and materials.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment, tools, and vehicles remain available and serviceable.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning materials and consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety regulations, and work instructions.
  • Coordinate cabin amenities availability during cleaning operations.
  • Communicate task progress and operational updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Report incidents, hazards, and safety concerns through approved channels.
  • Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance supervision.
  • Promote safety awareness and adherence to Air Peace Safety Management Systems.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in:
    • Aviation
    • Engineering
    • Environmental Sciences
    • Industrial-related disciplines
    • Other relevant technical fields
  • National Diploma (ND) holders may also apply if supported by substantial relevant experience and proven supervisory capability.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in:
    • Aircraft cabin appearance management
    • Aircraft cleaning operations
    • Aviation ground handling
    • Large-scale industrial cleaning environments
    • Manufacturing operations
    • Transportation operations
    • Oil & Gas facilities
    • Other regulated industrial environments
  • At least 1 year experience in a supervisory or team-lead position.
  • Previous aviation experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Required Certifications

Mandatory certifications include:

  • Basic Safety Awareness Training
  • HSE Certification (Level 1–3 or equivalent)
  • Valid Nigerian Driver’s License

Additional aviation training will be provided after appointment, including:

  • Human Factors Training
  • Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Aircraft Cabin Appearance Standards
  • Aircraft Cleaning Procedures
  • Cabin Inspection and Defect Reporting Processes
