Data Science Nigeria, through the EqualyzAI initiative, is inviting fluent Ijebu speakers to participate in a language preservation and artificial intelligence project aimed at improving African language representation in technology.
This initiative seeks to capture the authentic way Ijebu is spoken, documented, and understood, helping to ensure that future technologies can better recognize and support the language.
Rather than focusing only on general Yoruba, this project is taking a deeper approach by documenting specific dialects such as Ijebu, preserving the unique expressions, pronunciation, vocabulary, and cultural nuances that make the dialect distinct.
Who Can Apply?
You may be eligible if you:
