About the Role

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding our global cloud environments. You’ll design, implement, and monitor secure cloud architectures primarily on AWS ensuring our systems stay resilient against evolving threats.

Your work will directly protect our clients, our technology, and our reputation making you a key player in XM’s continued success.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design & Build Secure Cloud Infrastructures: Architect AWS environments resilient to modern cyber threats
• Assess and Implement Security Controls: Ensure every system, database, and network is properly secured
• Monitor & Analyze: Gain insights into security incidents, review logs, and run vulnerability assessments
• Shape Policies & Standards: Help develop company-wide cloud security practices and frameworks
• Report with Impact: Create clear technical and managerial reports on cloud security health
• Disaster Recovery: Implement and test DR procedures to ensure business continuity
• Safeguard Data: Protect sensitive data in storage, transit, and processing
• Promote Awareness: Investigate violations and educate teams on compliance and best practices
• Support & Collaborate: Provide guidance to end users on network and security issues

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Information Security or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in Information Security with a focus on Cloud Security
• Deep technical knowledge of AWS (IAM, SSO, S3, EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, WAF, GuardDuty, Config, etc.)
• Clear understanding of modern cloud threats and how to defend against them
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Ability to work independently and thrive in collaborative teams
• A hunger to learn new technologies quickly and deeply

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure or Oracle Cloud
• Exposure to DevSecOps methodologies
• Hands-on with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
