Job Description
The Crest Research and Development Institute (CRADI) is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the role of Data Collectors to support a nationwide agricultural research initiative across Nigeria.
CRADI is implementing a large-scale baseline study under its Agricultural Transformation Lab (ATL), covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, across 774 Local Government Areas.
The study will generate critical insights into agricultural systems, markets, value chains, innovation, and inclusivity.
To support this project, CRADI is seeking Data Collectors to gather accurate and reliable field data across various communities nationwide.
Role Overview
Data Collectors will work with Field Supervisors and the Research Team to carry out structured data collection while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in mandatory training before fieldwork
- Conduct interviews and surveys in assigned locations
- Accurately record and submit data using approved tools
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and timeliness
- Follow ethical guidelines (consent, confidentiality, neutrality)
- Report field issues and observations to supervisors
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in data collection/research (an advantage)
- Familiarity with digital data tools
- Willingness to travel within assigned areas
- Knowledge of local languages (an added advantage)
