Job Details

  • Job Title: Data Collector
  • Locations: Adamawa, Bauchi, Niger, Nasarawa, Kano, Jigawa, Anambra, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Oyo, and Lagos State
  • Duration: 3 Weeks

Program Overview

The project involves a 3-week nationwide data collection exercise aimed at assessing the readiness of BHCPF-supported Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities for the deployment of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

The initiative will cover 2,808 PHCs across 12 states and focuses on evaluating:

  • Technical infrastructure
  • Operational workflows
  • Workforce capacity
  • Organizational readiness

This effort will support the transition from paper-based systems to digital EMR systems in selected healthcare facilities.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum of an ND or Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Public Health
    • Health Informatics
    • Statistics or related field
  • Strong familiarity with local communities in the assigned state
  • Fluency in relevant local languages (Yoruba, Pidgin, Igbo, or Hausa)
  • Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., ODK or similar e-tools)
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

  • Participate in mandatory training on study protocols, tools, and ethical guidelines
  • Collect facility-level data using standardized ODK tools across an average of 26 facilities
  • Support pilot testing and validation of data collection tools
  • Ensure accurate and complete daily data submission
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
