Data Engineer (Remote) at Venture-Backed Startups

CloudDevs connects top talent with world-class, venture-backed startups. As a Data Engineer, you’ll join one of these startups and play a key role in building and scaling their data infrastructure during early-stage growth.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Process large datasets in both batch and real-time.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to deliver on data needs.
• Ensure data quality with testing, monitoring, and alerting.
• Optimize query performance, storage costs, and resource usage.
• Document data schemas, pipelines, and architecture.

What We Expect

• Strong experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Skilled in data frameworks (Spark, Flink, Beam, Airflow).
• Experience with both batch and streaming data.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, plus familiarity with NoSQL and modern warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Solid knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Comfortable with AWS, GCP, or Azure data services.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in English.
• Collaborative mindset for distributed teams.
