Applications are now open for the Data Science to Advance Women’s Health (DSAWH) Fellowship – 2026 Cohort, a fully funded 9-month program designed to empower women scientists with cutting-edge data science skills, mentorship, and professional networks to drive meaningful, data-driven change in women’s health research.
This transformative fellowship brings together 20 exceptional early-career women researchers from Eastern and Southern Africa to engage in intensive learning, mentorship, and collaboration with global experts at the intersection of data science, public health, and gender equity.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be female scholars based in Africa working to address women’s health challenges.
- Be pursuing a Master’s or PhD, or be an early postdoctoral researcher focused on women’s health.
- Have a draft of a first-authored research paper ready for review or publication.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in applying data science methods to advance women’s health outcomes.
