Mel Dorman, a real estate investor, TEDx speaker, and founder of the Seller Financing Academy, is looking for a proactive Executive Assistant to bring systems, order, and calm to her fast-moving world.
This is a remote, independent contractor role (around 30 hours/week) is perfect for someone who loves building automations, managing details, and keeping operations flowing smoothly.
About Mel
Mel Dorman is a Portland-based entrepreneur helping people build community-centered wealth through creative real estate strategies. She leads a multimillion-dollar portfolio, a national coaching program, and a growing media presence and now needs a behind-the-scenes partner to keep everything running seamlessly.
What You’ll Do
- Manage inboxes, calendars, and speaking schedules
- Build SOPs and automations (HubSpot, Zapier, OnceHub)
- Coordinate student onboarding and support for the Seller Financing Academy
- Handle light property management tasks (leases, renewals, reports)
- Draft newsletters, announcements, and podcast responses
You’re a Great Fit If You
- Love bringing order to busy, creative environments
- Communicate clearly and write in someone else’s voice
- Work independently and anticipate needs before being asked
- Have 3+ years of EA or admin experience and tech confidence (Google Workspace, CRMs, Zapier, QuickBooks)
Bonus points if you’ve worked in real estate, online education, or automation tools.
Contract Details
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- ~30 hrs/week · $35/hr
- Flexible hours (must overlap 9am–1pm PT)
