Job Overview

The Field Research & Data Gathering Officer will conduct structured research activities across selected educational institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting accurate and reliable data, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring all research activities meet the organization’s quality standards.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to data-driven research that supports informed decision-making within Nigeria’s education sector.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Conduct field research across assigned schools and educational institutions.
  • Collect accurate data using both digital and paper-based data collection tools.
  • Interview school administrators, teachers, and other key stakeholders using structured research instruments.
  • Properly document, organize, and manage all collected data.
  • Maintain professionalism while building positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Meet assigned project timelines and reporting requirements.
  • Verify and ensure the accuracy and quality of all research data collected.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have a background or relevant experience in the education sector (teaching, school administration, or education research).
  • Possess excellent communication and interviewing skills.
  • Be a resident of the state/location for which they are applying.
  • Be fluent in English and at least one relevant local language.
  • Have a good understanding of the educational landscape within their region.

  • Tertiary institutions, including:
    • Universities
    • Polytechnics
    • Colleges of Education

Assignments will be distributed across different geographical areas within each selected state to ensure comprehensive and representative research coverage.
