Job Description

Are you a software engineer passionate about technology and sustainability? Exnaton, a climate tech startup spun out of ETH Zurich, is currently hiring a Fullstack Engineer with a DevOps focus to help build innovative software solutions that support the transition to renewable energy.

Exnaton develops cloud-based platforms that allow energy providers and communities to track energy usage, share locally produced renewable energy, and create smarter electricity pricing systems. What You’ll Do

In this role, you will develop and maintain modern software applications for the energy sector while ensuring reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers to build high-performance systems and improve deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fullstack applications for renewable energy solutions
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployments
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
  • Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues
  • Strengthen system reliability, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with a fast-paced, innovative engineering team

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in cloud or SaaS software development
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and backend technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS)
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment
