Job Description

GameUp Africa is now accepting applications for the role of Program Lead.

This is a full-time remote opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about program management, youth development, ecosystem building, and the future of Africa’s gaming and creative technology industry.

About GameUp Africa

GameUp Africa is a talent accelerator program by Maliyo Games focused on building Africa’s next generation of game developers, artists, and sound engineers.

Since launching in 2021, the program has:

  • Received over 6,000 applications
  • Trained more than 2,000 developers
  • Supported the creation of 150+ games by learners across Africa

The organization works to equip aspiring African creatives and developers with mentorship, practical training, industry exposure, and real opportunities within the global gaming ecosystem.

About the Role

The Program Lead will oversee the planning, execution, coordination, and optimization of GameUp Africa’s initiatives across multiple African countries.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Planning & Program Design

  • Design and develop frameworks for GameUp Africa programs and ecosystem initiatives
