Job Description

Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa) is currently recruiting qualified and passionate candidates for multiple humanitarian and development roles across Nigeria.

GHIV Africa is a non governmental, non profit humanitarian and development organization focused on improving healthcare access, nutrition, protection, gender equality, community resilience, and overall quality of life across vulnerable African communities.

The organization is implementing the WFP Community Based Nutrition Support Programme and is seeking professionals who are committed to humanitarian service and community impact.

Contract Duration

  • Mostly short term humanitarian contracts with possibility of renewal based on performance and project availability.

About the Roles

GHIV Africa is recruiting professionals across finance, health, nutrition, monitoring and evaluation, logistics, protection, gender, accountability, WASH, mental health, and community support functions.

Successful candidates will support humanitarian and community based projects focused on:

  • Nutrition support programmes
  • Community healthcare delivery
  • Protection and safeguarding
  • Gender and GBV response
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Accountability systems
  • WASH interventions
  • Logistics and operational support
  • Mental health and psychosocial support

General Responsibilities Across Roles

Depending on the position, selected candidates may be responsible for:

  • Supporting project implementation in field locations
  • Managing documentation, reports, and programme records
  • Conducting field activities and community engagement
  • Supporting donor funded humanitarian interventions
  • Monitoring project activities and reporting outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational and donor policies
  • Supporting vulnerable populations including women and children
  • Coordinating with field teams and community stakeholders
  • Maintaining proper records and accountability systems

General Requirements

Candidates are expected to possess some of the following depending on the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in related fields
  • Experience in NGOs, humanitarian work, healthcare, finance, logistics, MEAL, WASH, protection, or related sectors
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in challenging environments
  • Good reporting and documentation skills
  • Strong integrity and professionalism
  • Knowledge of donor funded project operations is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Hausa and Fulani language skills may be an added advantage for field roles
