Description of the Graduate Trainee Engineer at Dajo Energy

  • The Graduate Trainee Engineer will be responsible for supporting ongoing projects and learning the practical applications of engineering principles within the organisation. The role provides hands-on exposure to project planning, technical documentation, and field coordination while developing core skills in project execution and teamwork.

Job Responsibilities of the Graduate Trainee Engineer at Dajo Energy

  • As a Graduate Training Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Assist project and technical teams in planning and executing engineering-related activities.
  • Support the preparation of project documents, reports, and technical submissions.
  • Participate in site inspections, field assessments, and data collection under supervision.
  • Review and organise engineering drawings, specifications, and materials as directed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Observe and comply with all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in internal training programs, workshops, and mentorship sessions to enhance technical competence.
  • Provide basic technical support in cost estimation, scheduling, and documentation preparation.
  • Track assigned project activities and report updates to the supervising engineer or line manager.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements:

Qualifications we are looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, or any relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 0–2 years of post-graduation experience (industrial training or internship experience is an advantage).
  • Basic understanding of engineering concepts, project management, and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AutoCAD or other design tools.
  • Strong interest in developing a professional career in engineering and project management.
