Are you passionate about business growth, marketing, customer engagement, and startups? PayOak, a Nigerian fintech platform providing secure digital escrow services for online transactions, is looking for a Growth & Business Development Intern to join its Sales & Partnership team.
This 12-month internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development, growth marketing, partnerships, and startup operations while contributing to the expansion of an innovative fintech company.
About the Role
As a Growth & Business Development Intern, you will support initiatives aimed at increasing PayOak’s user base, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding brand awareness. You’ll work closely with the team on outreach campaigns, community engagement, partnership research, and growth-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities
User Outreach & Engagement
- Identify individuals and businesses that can benefit from PayOak’s services
- Support outreach to freelancers, creators, vendors, and small businesses
- Assist with onboarding new users to the platform
- Respond to basic user inquiries and direct them to the appropriate support channels
Community & Growth Support
- Support engagement activities across online communities and social media platforms
- Promote PayOak within business, creator, and entrepreneurial communities
- Assist in sharing product updates, educational content, and growth campaigns
Marketing & Content Support
- Support social media and customer communication initiatives
- Draft outreach messages, onboarding materials, and marketing content
- Assist with email campaigns and customer awareness programs
Research & Reporting
- Conduct research on growth opportunities, partnerships, and market trends
- Track outreach activities, onboarding progress, and campaign performance
- Gather user feedback and share insights with the team
- Contribute ideas that support business growth and customer acquisition
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this internship, applicants must:
- Be 30 years old or younger
- Have graduated from a tertiary institution in 2022 or later
- Have successfully completed the NYSC programme
- Be available for the full 12-month internship programme
