Rate: €50–€70/hour (milestone-based)

Energy Hub is a Nigerian clean-tech startup building IoT-enabled portable power stations for university students. We’re running early-stage pilots and need a hands-on Hardware & Firmware Engineer to help build, integrate, and test real-world V0 and V1 systems ahead of scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Modify and test portable power stations for pilot use
  • Integrate GSM/LTE modules for tracking and remote control
  • Implement safe remote shutdown, fault handling, and telemetry
  • Build resilient firmware for power, thermal, and battery management
  • Prepare small pilot batches and document safety-critical behavior

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong embedded systems experience (ESP32, STM32, or similar)
  • Experience with batteries, inverters, or power electronics
  • GSM/LTE integration experience
  • Comfortable working with off-the-shelf hardware and early prototypes
  • Strong safety and reliability mindset

(Bonus: Low-code operator dashboards for device monitoring)

Why This Role

  • Work on real infrastructure with real users
