Location: Remote (EU-based preferred)
Duration: 12–16 weeks · Contract
Rate: €50–€70/hour (milestone-based)
Energy Hub is a Nigerian clean-tech startup building IoT-enabled portable power stations for university students. We’re running early-stage pilots and need a hands-on Hardware & Firmware Engineer to help build, integrate, and test real-world V0 and V1 systems ahead of scale.
What You’ll Do
- Modify and test portable power stations for pilot use
- Integrate GSM/LTE modules for tracking and remote control
- Implement safe remote shutdown, fault handling, and telemetry
- Build resilient firmware for power, thermal, and battery management

Prepare small pilot batches and document safety-critical behavior
What We’re Looking For
- Strong embedded systems experience (ESP32, STM32, or similar)
- Experience with batteries, inverters, or power electronics
- GSM/LTE integration experience
- Comfortable working with off-the-shelf hardware and early prototypes

Strong safety and reliability mindset
(Bonus: Low-code operator dashboards for device monitoring)
