Leading Ladies Africa (LLA) is expanding its content team and is inviting applications for the role of Social Media & Content Intern.

This is an exciting opportunity for creative individuals who are passionate about storytelling, digital content, and community engagement.

The internship offers hands-on experience working with one of Africa’s leading platforms dedicated to empowering women.

Successful applicants will help create engaging content, manage online communities, and contribute to campaigns that amplify the stories and achievements of African women.

Position

Social Media & Content Intern

Work Location

  • Remote (Applicants must be Lagos-based for occasional physical meetings and events.)

What You Will Do

As a Social Media & Content Intern, you will:

  • Create, shoot, edit, and produce engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Design attractive graphics and visual content for social media platforms.
  • Draft, schedule, and publish content across multiple social media channels.
  • Monitor social media trends, sounds, and emerging formats to generate fresh content ideas.
  • Respond to comments, direct messages, and audience inquiries to keep the online community engaged.
  • Support content planning sessions and brainstorming meetings.
  • Assist with content coverage during events and organizational activities when required.
  • Monitor content performance and provide insights into audience engagement.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Completed NYSC (Mandatory).
  • Strong video creation and editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, InShot, or similar software.
  • Graphic design skills with Canva, Photoshop, or similar design tools.
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
  • Good understanding of how content performs across different social media platforms.
  • Creativity, initiative, and willingness to experiment with new content ideas and formats.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
  • Availability for occasional onsite meetings and events in Lagos.
