Multimedia & Visual Learning Designer

Job Description

A growing online learning platform is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Multimedia & Visual Learning Designer to join its team on a part-time, remote basis. The company is building a modern learning platform and already has strong course content and structure. They need someone who can transform that content into professional, engaging, and visually appealing learning experiences through presentation design, video editing, course graphics, and other visual materials.

This role is ideal for a creative professional who has a strong eye for design and can take raw or AI-assisted content and turn it into polished, publish-ready course materials.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Design

  • Create professional PowerPoint presentations with strong layouts, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy.
  • Design attractive course thumbnails and promotional graphics using Canva.
  • Develop consistent visual branding across course materials.
  • Ensure presentations and other learning assets look polished rather than generic or template-based.

Video Editing

  • Edit course recordings by cutting and trimming unnecessary sections.
  • Add titles, captions, transitions, and simple motion graphics where appropriate.
  • Improve the pacing and overall quality of raw video footage.
  • Review finished videos to ensure they meet the required quality standard before publication.

Learning Content Support

  • Turn drafted or AI-assisted content into structured and visually appealing lessons and modules.
  • Upload, organize, and publish course content on the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Review course materials to ensure visual quality and consistency before they go live.
  • Help maintain a consistent design system across different courses.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing presentation design and video editing work.
  • Strong Canva and PowerPoint skills.
  • Good knowledge of layout, colour, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Filmora, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
  • The ability to transform rough drafts or AI-generated content into polished visual materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to maintain consistency across different course materials.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content projects independently.

If you have a strong creative eye, enjoy turning raw content into polished learning experiences, and can produce designs that make people stop scrolling, this could be an exciting opportunity to put your skills to work.
