Travel Specialist / Travel Interns

Core Functions

  • Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Supporting communication and relationship building with airlines, tourism boards, and vendors.
  • Package Creation & Research: Designing new travel packages based on market research and current industry trends.
  • Trip Execution & Logistics: Assisting in the logistics and planning and on-ground support for group tours and travel initiatives.

Functions

  • Assist with Client Bookings: Support travel consultants in booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and tours.
  • Handle Travel Documentation: Prepare and organize travel documents such as itineraries, visas, and insurance papers.
  • Customer Service Support: Provide prompt responses to client inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
  • Coordinate with Vendors: Liaise with airlines, hotels, and tour operators for confirmations, updates, and changes.
  • Assist in Visa Processing: Guide clients on visa requirements and assist in document collation.
  • Post-Travel Follow-Up: Collect client feedback after trips and relay insights to improve services.
  • Industry Tool Mastery: Learn and apply key booking platforms, CRM software, and other travel industry tools.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior sales and travel professionals to support growth initiatives and continuous learning.
  • Research, draft, and edit articles, blog posts, and news updates for publication on the company’s website.
  • Assist in preparing presentations for corporate partners, airlines, and tourism boards.
  • Support project planning and evaluation, and report on internship contributions.
  • Work on any other task that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or recent graduate in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or Business Administration.
  • Strong interest in travel operations, tour planning, and logistics.
  • Ability to assist in creating travel packages based on market research and current industry trends.
  • Comfortable coordinating with airlines, tourism boards, and other vendors.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of supporting trip execution, including on-ground logistics.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.

Monthly Milestone Bonus

The following milestones are mandatory and consistent with our operating policies.

  • Assist to generate 20 new leads and update them on the CRM Portal
  • Independently manage and close at least 20 client support tickets
  • Draft and publish at least 3 press releases, blog posts or articles.
  • Complete and present one concise report analyzing the packages of 3 top competitor travel packages in our primary market.
  • Develop 1 policy / SOP to improve our service execution and general processes

Content Developer (Media)

Functions

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Develop and edit visual and digital content for social media, blogs, newsletters and multimedia presentations that align with our brand voice and strategy.
  • Produce destination features, travel guides and promotional narratives aligned with brand tone.
  • Capture photos and videos that showcase destinations, experiences and Afari’s services.
  • Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, relevance and audience appeal.
  • Support Social Media Manager in developing contents in line with the Social Media Content Calendar.
  • Ensure media materials are delivered at latest a week before scheduled date.

Media Production & Design Management

  • Design graphics, banners, ads and marketing visuals for digital and print use.
  • Create and edit video content, including reels, testimonials, trip highlights and promotional clips.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all creative outputs and platforms.
  • Manage media assets, including footage, graphics, templates and project files.

Digital Strategy Support and Platform Optimization

  • Manage scheduled posting across Google My Business, LinkedIn, WhatsApp channel and ensure timely content delivery.
  • Conduct basic analytics reviews to measure engagement and refine content strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing, social media and travel operations teams to align content with active campaigns, tours and product launches.

Deliverables

  • Generate high-quality written and visual content aligned with the brand mission.
  • Support the Social Media Content Calendar with timely posts and campaign assets.
  • Produce graphics for digital and print across trips, promotions, and brand communications.
  • Create and edit short-form videos that improve reach, engagement, and trust.
  • Maintain a structured media library for easy access and reuse.
  • Provide basic insights from content performance to guide improvements.
  • Collaborate across marketing, social media, and operations to ensure accurate and conversion-focused storytelling.

Requirements

  • Education: HND or higher in any field of study.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of proven Graphics design experience, preferably in travel, tourism, or hospitality.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in photo and video editing tools (Adobe Suite, Canva or equivalents).
  • Skilled in copywriting, storytelling and creative direction.
  • Experience creating content for travel, lifestyle or hospitality brands is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and adapt to brand guidelines.
  • Good understanding of social media algorithms and content trends.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility and attention to detail in design.
  • Ability to interpret project briefs and translate concepts into polished visual outcomes quickly and efficiently.

Additional Attributes:

  • Ability to produce high quality vector graphics, typography and layout compositions.
  • Knowledge of branding systems, colour theory and visual hierarchy.

  • Experience: 2-4 years of proven sales experience, preferably in travel, tourism, or hospitality.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet sales targets.

Monthly Milestone Bonus

The following targets are mandatory and consistent with our sales & marketing policies.

  • Generate direct sales of N30,000,000.00 in monthly revenue.
  • Acquire 100 qualified leads.
  • Support the travels department to achieve its monthly target with your contribution.
  • Send 80 proposals on the CRM (Ratio maximum count is 2 proposals per lead/customer).
