Platform Engineer Intern at Appwrite
Job Description
Appwrite is looking for a driven Platform Engineer Intern to join their engineering team for a full-time, 6-month remote internship. If you’re passionate about backend development, curious about cloud technologies, and excited to learn in a fast-moving startup environment, this is a great place to grow.
What You’ll Do
- Work with experienced engineers to build and improve Appwrite platform features
- Help maintain clean, reliable code through collaborative reviews
- Debug platform and infrastructure issues
- Support the development and optimization of backend services and APIs
- Contribute to documentation for system architecture, APIs, and deployments
- Work with cloud providers and CI/CD tools to improve automation

Research new technologies and suggest upgrades or improvements
Who They’re Looking For
- Students or recent grads in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
- Basic experience with backend languages like Node.js, PHP, or Python
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, DigitalOcean)
- Understanding of REST APIs and microservices concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn
