Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Manager
- Location: Lagos
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: ₦160,000 – ₦200,000 monthly
Job Description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for ensuring that all food products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role is essential in maintaining consumer trust, particularly for fortified and affordable food products targeted at local markets.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Systems
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures across all production lines (flour, rice, feed, etc.)
Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards (e.g., NAFDAC, HACCP, ISO standards)
Product Testing & Inspection
- Oversee laboratory testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet nutritional and safety requirements
Process Monitoring
- Monitor production processes to identify and correct deviations that may affect product quality
Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and approve suppliers of raw materials (e.g., wheat, rice paddy, feed ingredients) to ensure consistent quality
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and quality reports for regulatory and internal use
Training & Awareness
- Train production staff on hygiene, food safety, and quality standards to ensure compliance
Audit Management
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Professional certifications in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) are an added advantage
